Elected to the board of Aldermen and later president
Director of the YMCA in Pittsfield for 13 years.
Director of the Pittsfield Cemetery.
While on the cemetery board, was in charge of the building of the chapel given by the late Mrs. Edwin Clapp.
Was a member of the Masonic fraternity and Independent
Order of Odd Fellows of Berkshire County.
Member of the Sons of the American Revolution Member of the First Congregational Church
In February 24,1903 married Mary Campbell
Clapp , daughter of Edwin Clapp.
